Lira Earrings

History is an integral part of philosophy that inspired us to design unique jewelry that convey momentous historical figures as well as the history of entire nations.

Such a collection is the gold pound of Victoria.
On the 50th year of her reign, Victoria adjusts her portrait and on the backside of the gold pound you can permanently see St. George.

The design of St. George’s belongs to Benedetto Pistrucci.

In 1871 the minting of the Lira commences not only in London but also in British colonies with Sydney being the first. India, Melbourne, Perth, Ottawa, Mumbai and Pretoria follow. Above the mint date appears a mint mark indicating the mint where the Pound was produced. If there is no mint mark the Pound was produced in London.
